Description
The REDARC BCDC1225D battery charger
for external mount is a 12V 25A DC to DC battery charger that delivers high performance in under-engine installations and is potted to withstand heat, water and dust.
The BCDC1225D Classic is equipped with a MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) solar controller and can charge with both solar power and the alternator at the same time. With the built-in "Green Power Priority" it chooses solar charging first, which means less load on the alternator.
The device is suitable for 12 or 24 volt vehicle systems and works with standard or variable/smart alternators.
The BCDC1225D features the same patented charging profiles as the previous model, plus a new lithium charging profile that allows the unit to charge AGM, Gel, standard lead acid, calcium and LiFePO4 batteries - perfect for pairing with a REDARC lithium battery.
For most applications, the BCDC1225D is suitable for battery bank sizes from 75-200AH. For higher capacity requirements above 200AH, REDARC recommends the BCDC1240D.
