This speedometer calibration kit is a programmable CAN node. In vehicle conversions with tire circumference deviating significantly from the series, the speed display and the odometer can be corrected. This makes it possible, for example, to make a larger tire circumference or changes to the differential approvable.
Functionality
The ABS/ESP control unit sends a speed signal via CAN bus to the instrument cluster. The speedometer calibration kit is installed in front of the instrument cluster and corrects both the speed signal and the odometer in real time. The correction factor can be programmed via USB interface.
The original wheel speed signals are retained. Therefore, the function of the ABS/ESP control unit cannot be impaired.
Correction factor: 7% (other values on request)
The control unit has an E-mark and is therefore exempt from registration.
