Description
The REDARC BCDC1250D battery charger
is a 12V 50A DC to DC vehicle battery charger. It is the latest variant of the award-winning BCDC Dual range and features REDARC's Smart Start technology.
The design with the red line on the back reveals that this dual battery charger is something special. With a charging capacity of 50 amps, it is the most powerful in REDARC's BCDC range.
Designed to deliver higher output current, the BCDC1250D features an additional charging stage known as SoftStart, designed for more demanding applications.
The BCDC1250D is equipped with a MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) solar controller that charges both the solar system and the alternator at the same time. With the built-in "Green Power Priority" it selects solar charging first, which means less load on the alternator.
The device is suitable for 12 or 24 volt vehicle systems and works with standard or variable/smart alternators.
It is compatible with all common battery types used in automobiles and recreational vehicles, such as AGM, gel, standard lead acid, calcium and LiFeP04 batteries.
As a guideline, the BCDC1250D is used for battery bank sizes over 200AH. For smaller batteries from 75-200AH, REDARC recommends the BCDC1225D.

The DC to DC battery charger is built in Australia and tested for our unique conditions. It also works in the extreme heat of the Simpson Desert at up to 80°C and can handle deep water crossings at Cape York - water, dust and vibrations are no problem for this charger.
