The Safari Snorkel SS177HF for the Isuzu D-MAX/MU-X RG is designed to direct a huge volume of the coolest, cleanest air into the stock air filter assembly of the 2020+ 3.0L diesel engine. Given the huge airflow of the 2020+ Isuzu D-MAX and 06/2021+ MU-X 3.0L diesel, Safari decided to develop a snorkel system that raises the air intake to prevent harmful elements from entering the vehicle's air filter.
Tremendous airflow is just one aspect of the ultimate snorkel design. The Safari Snorkel Air Intake performs two very important jobs. The most obvious is to direct cool, clean air into the snorkel body - but just as importantly, the Safari Air Piston acts as a highly efficient water separator to remove rainwater from the incoming airflow - ensuring safe engine operation in even the most violent tropical storms.
