Vehicle compatibility
The ScanGauge is designed to plug directly into the under-dash OBDII diagnostic port on 1996 and newer cars and light trucks. Some vehicles built before 1996 may also be compatible with ScanGauge products.

ScanGauge III offers real-time readouts that show you what's happening "under the hood" with built-in digital gauges. You can select and display up to nine gauges simultaneously on the screen, allowing you to monitor your vehicle's current operating conditions in real time.
In addition to the standard set of gauges, ScanGauge III also includes exclusive X-Gauge technology. XGauge allows you to add additional vehicle-specific gauges automatically with the NEW Auto Scan for XGauges or through manual entry.

Automatic travel computers
With four built-in trip computers, the ScanGauge can record everything from fuel costs to distance traveled and everything in between. The data is stored on the ScanGauge and remains intact even if the power is interrupted. Each trip computer starts automatically, and the information is available at any time during your trip.
Time and distance computer
The ScanGauge features three time- and distance-dependent trip computers. These include the current trip, today's trip, and the previous day's trip. Each trip computer starts automatically and records the following parameters:

Tank Trip
The ScanGauge contains a trip computer that is based on the current fuel level and starts automatically when you tell the ScanGauge that you have filled your tank.

Reset the engine light!
The ScanGauge III can scan for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and display the number of them. You can also view pending codes to identify problems before they become serious. The ScanGauge III can check your vehicle's emissions and inform you of any failed tests before you take your vehicle for emissions testing.
Read and clear pending error codes
If no codes are found and the check engine light is still illuminated, your vehicle may have pending codes stored. The ScanGauge III provides a method to clear all detected or unrecognized trouble codes with just a few touches of the screen.
