The deactivation kit specifically locks the active radiator grille shutter in a defined position. The component limits the travel of the actuator motor, preventing it from continuously adjusting and thereby avoiding error messages or an unnecessarily high fan speed when stationary.
The deactivation kit is particularly required when converting to accessory towbars, winch towbars, or winch mounts, if the original radiator grille shutter or its actuation mechanism is affected or removed by the conversion.
The delivery also includes a mounting clip, which can be used to hold the actuator motor securely and permanently in position.
