Information about fit
For technical reasons, there are slight differences in the fit where the warning bars meet vehicle edges and corrugations. This is barely noticeable from a normal viewing distance of 5 m and does not affect the warning effect and does not constitute grounds for complaint.
The starting point of the stripe pattern may differ slightly from the illustrations. However, this has no relevance for approval and/or safety effect.
We expressly reserve the right to make changes in the interests of technical progress without notice.
Note on standard areas / interpretation
DIN 30710 dates back to 1973 and was last revised in 1990. Modern vehicle shapes rarely offer the possibility of properly applying the rectangular standard areas of 141 x 564 mm pointing right and left as required by DIN. At that time, there were no technical options to adapt warning markings to vehicles and the necessary reflective area was defined by the standard areas.
According to DIN 30710:1990, certain requirements are specified for the size and placement of warning markings. The standard stipulates a minimum area of eight standard surfaces for the front and rear. The size of a standard surface corresponds to 141 x 141 mm = 0.02 m². With eight required standard surfaces for the front and rear, this results in a reflective surface of 8 x 0.02 m² = 0.16 m² on each side of the vehicle (sum of the right and left-facing surfaces).
Our warning marking kits meet the area required by the standard as the required area of 0.16 m² per side is always exceeded for both the front and rear of the vehicle. In addition, we also consider the sides of the vehicle for safety and design reasons and meet the required area of 0.16 m² per side.
