The OME Nitrocharger + is the next evolutionary step in the traditional Nitrocharger family and replaces the proven Nitrocharger Sport and the remaining Nitrocharger models. The 2-tube system, proven in off-road use for its resistance to external influences, has been retained, as has the 3-valve technology with the double-acting piston valve and an additional pressure-stage valve at the lower end of the working cylinder for a smooth, progressively increasing response.
However, the change in production location has also allowed many details to be improved, which is intended to be expressed by the "Plus" in the name. Most shock absorbers benefit from the larger 58mm housing for more oil volume and better heat dissipation, as well as the possible 20mm piston rod, which enables more precise guidance and thus also improves the sealing with the further optimized 3-lipped sealing ring. Due to the larger housing, the piston diameter could also be increased to 36mm, thereby improving the response and oil flow, which in turn reduces the operating temperature.
The second new housing size has a diameter of 50mm, an 18mm piston rod, and also a 36mm piston. This is the replacement for the small 44mm Nitrochargers with the 12.5mm piston rod and for all applications where the 58mm housing cannot be used due to space constraints.
The material of the stone chip protection is also new. It is now unbreakable and softer, so that it does not scratch the paintwork during full articulation. The paintwork has also benefited from the multi-layer construction, improving both appearance and corrosion protection.
