The REDARC BCDC1225D for the engine bay is a 12V 25A DC/DC battery charger. It is equipped with a MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) solar controller that can charge from both the solar array and the alternator simultaneously. And with the integrated "Green Power Priority" it chooses the solar charge first, which means less load on the alternator.
The device is suitable for 12 or 24 volt vehicle systems and works with standard or smart alternators.
The BCDC1225D has charging profiles that make the device suitable for charging AGM, gel, standard lead acid, calcium and LiFePO4 batteries. For most applications, the BCDC1225D is designed for batteries from 75-200Ah.
